This body of work explores the quiet terrain of selfhood—what is seen, felt, and known, yet remains unrecognizable. Each piece features a singular body print rendered in a muted palette nearly indistinguishable from the soft beige of the Stonehenge paper. The prints, minimal and abstract, are less bodily impressions than they are echoes—faint, topographical markers of presence. Embellished with delicate gold drawings, these forms float in open space like islands adrift. They speak to separation from the self, of parts lost or exiled, but still residing within us. The gold drawing acts as a connective thread, a gentle offering of reintegration. As with many of my previous series, the work continues to consider identity as layered and mutable—formed over time through memory, absence, and emotional sediment. These quiet imprints invite pause, and perhaps a reconciliation with the parts within us that we have forgotten to name.

Formations is a series of diptychs that explores embodiment, healing, and the quiet complexity of connection. The work was created through a process of direct bodily imprint. Five panels were painted in a light beige tone and five in a slightly darker shade. Using the inverse colour, I painted half of my body at a time and pressed it onto the floor-laid panels, producing abstracted impressions. This process was then repeated on the opposite side of my body, reversing the colour relationship.
When rearranged and paired, the imprints of opposing sides of the body form subtle, unexpected alignments. Rather than mirroring one another, fragments such as a breast and thigh meet in unpredictable configurations, creating moments of balance through dislocation and reassembly.
The low-contrast palette encourages close looking, inviting viewers to spend time with the work as delicate traces slowly reveal themselves. These faint, nearly imperceptible markings evoke fragility and calm, offering space for quiet reflection.
The title Formations references both geological and emotional processes: the slow shaping of land, the gradual formation of identity, and the body’s capacity to hold and release memory. This series continues my ongoing inquiry into the relationship between body and self, and the transformative, non-linear nature of healing.

Healing Spaces Between merges painting and print, with my body serving as the primary tool for mark-making. Working directly on un-stretched canvases placed on the floor, I move strategically—sometimes creating static impressions, other times surrendering my full weight—to record gestures through the natural oils of my skin interacting with pigment and surface. This unpredictable process captures the immediacy of movement and embodiment. Gold ink runs through the series as a reference to Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, symbolizing repair and transformation. Light moves through the metallic reflections inviting viewers to move with the work, echoing the bodily awareness required to make it. Each painting becomes a landscape of the body, movement, and reflection, while simultaneously providing a space for stillness and healing.

is an ongoing series of intimate 4" × 4" works created through direct impressions of my body—creases of the arm and elbow, the side of the hand, and the surface of the breast. Printed onto paint-swatch papers, the marks register as abstract forms rather than anatomical references. Gold ink is drawn across these impressions in response to kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery, emphasizing repair, as a process that leads to transformation.
Each piece captures a moment where something internal becomes briefly external, made visible and then reconsidered through the act of gilding.

Body of Work is a narrative of discovery, resilience, memory, healing, and transformation. Through my artistic process, I use my physical form as a brush, creating intimate impressions with paint, later embellished with gold drawings. Inspired by Kintsugi philosophy, my art celebrates the beauty of repair and brokenness. I delve into the impact of trauma on the mind, body, memory, which disrupts our connection to self, making tangible the integrated history within.

Shadows hold symbolic significance, often used to convey depth, contrast, and the interplay between light and darkness. They represent hidden aspects, mystery, or the subconscious. Exploring shadows, I delve into the complexity of emotions, unveiling obscured facets of identity and the nuanced interplay between memories of the past and present.

Impressions. It is the act of creating a mark or indent, conveying texture, emotion, or form. Using paint and my body, I leave imprints and marks on a surface, capturing the essence of movement and emotion. These impressions become a tangible record of my interaction with the medium, embodying a unique expression. They relate to the lasting effects and memories left within my body by experiences and encounters.

“Portals,” combines found black and white magazine images with abstract paintings, resulting in compositions that function as gateways to alternate dimensions. Through this fusion, viewers are invited to transcend the ordinary and explore realms where the tangible intersects with the abstract. By juxtaposing recognizable elements with abstract forms, my work serves as a metaphorical portal between the known and the unknown, the visible and the unseen.
Body/Ghost includes a body of work consisting of watercolour mono-prints on somerset paper.
